Houston, Texas – September 29, 2010 – The University of Texas has broadened its use of Meridian into the Campus Planning/Facilities Management Department (CPFM).
Simply stated, CPFM requires secure electronic storage for all documents that are received and produced by their office. All files must include searchable descriptions (or metadata) to facilitate quickly locating files for viewing, printing, and editing. Users of Meridian will be able to perform each task depending on security groups and the application of those security groups to roles and folders within Meridian.
CPFM wishes to maintain a versioning history of all changes that occur to documents. Modifications to critical documents will be reviewed by designated gatekeepers before they are released. Most documents have a variety of actions that must be completed and recorded during their life cycle. All files must also include a clearly defined retention schedule so they can be archived or disposed of appropriately.
ACAD-Plus will consult with CPFM to ensure the requirements are satisfactorily met.
